The IPad is the most beautiful touch screen device the computing world has ever developed. It is most definitely a game changer. If PC makers are not rushing to deliver a similar device, then they are asleep at the wheel and the lap top vehicle(s) that’s currently driving their sales and profitability will soon be run off the road. HP are you listening? Lenovo, I know you are listening, DELL are you awake? Sony this is your chance to get back in the design game with a slick slim, competitive touch screen device that runs Google apps. As I mentioned in a previous article, this first generation Apple IPad is not the one that will replace the notebook or netbook for common tasks, such that it becomes a viable alternative. The next generation IPad or one of the aforementioned competitors will be sure to have the ability to attach a keyboard, a webcam, USB ports and multicasting capabilities, then we will have a game changer or script flipper that turns the notebook PC world upside down. You take that capability and add to it the incredible interactivity and features of apps, operating in the cloud simplifying web surfing, email, social networking, video and photo viewing, gaming, music, and add a light Adobe application for light content creation or sketching, it would then have a greater impact than the iphone. Amazon, Kindle and e-book competitors, there is a new standard bearer in town for you as well, yes it is that same beautiful device, the Apple IPad, the iPad is more than an e-book reader and you will have to be more as well. Bottom Line, this one Cool Machine and will do more to wake up the mobile computing industry that any device since the notebook. What is your opinion?
